Maya Joshi, 15

Maya Joshi, 15, has been studying musical theater and classical singing since she was 5 years old. She received an Encouragement Award at the 2024 Schmidt Regional competition and was the First Place Winner of the prestigious 2022 Hal Leonard Vocal Competition for Children's Voices in the Musical Theatre category and Second Place in Art Song!  She has placed in both categories since she was 9 years old. She has placed in the  2022, 2023 & 2024 Prima Volta Classical Music Competition and was the 2021 Prima Volta Overall First Place Winner, The 2023 and 2021 International Grande Music Competition First Place winner for Voice, and Second Place winner in the 7th Camerata Artists International Competition. Maya also performed with the BergenPAC Special Events choir with Dionne Warwick.  She has sung the National Anthem for the Washington Wizards NBA team and NHL hockey’s NJ Devils for both the 2021 and 2022 seasons.  She has studied voice the last 2 summers at Interlochen Arts Camp. Maya is also the varsity soccer team goalie and a starter on her basketball team in Cresskill, NJ.
